I have been in a boat like that off shore and sinking. Bilge pumps failed with so much water. I un hooked the sea water coolent hose to the valve in the hull. After flipping the valve. Of course.
Then sucked all the sea water from the bilge out. With one engine. Rudamently patched the hull and then reconnected the hose and barely made it back in to Port. I think we were 80 miles off shore when the hole happened and we were listing.
It was a 1964 wood chriscrat 38 foot sea skiff. Happened in 2003.
The water was electrified but I had to endure.
No big deal.
Wait...water was electrified? If you touched it you’d get electrocuted? That adds another whole dimension.
