He’s an idiot for picking propane then. Less energy density than diesel, giant surface mounted FAE, little top cylinder lubrication. It’s also going to be a LOT easier to get a refill or put a few gallons in with that as opposed to a room temperature liquid fuel.
In a SHTF scenario your propane supplied equipment is probably at its end of use when that tank empties (unless you happen to have a nearby sealed sewage pond you can cap and draw gas from). With most of the other liquid fuels you can gain additional use with added quantities garnered over time. In some instances you could actually make it, particularly with diesel or alcohol capable engines.
Praying for your grandkids.

You’ll need a basement for that.
My propane supply is much more reliable than your deisel supply in a SHTF scenario.

Never heard about or saw that site until you just mentioned it.
You will probably enjoy the unrelated cpucoin.io site.
Really? Where do you source additional after you run out? I guess if really creative you could convert the storage tank into a big wood gas generator…
You can fairly easily make alcohol, and with source of fats/organic non mineral oils you can make a diesel grade oil pretty easily too. Unless you’ve got an on site producing well I’m not seeing where you’d come up with propane, or generate reliable and significant quantities of methane.
We’re talking SHTF here, not “powers down for X time and then things quickly get back to normal”.
I personally don’t have a diesel, but several sizes of gas, and I know how to run them on alcohol mixtures. If your propane generator is dual fuel or you can easily switch between liquid and gaseous sources then you are pretty even overall, but I’d personally not put a lot of resources into a combustion engine that was solely dependent on natural gas as a fuel unless I had a well on the land…
Oh, and don’t take the “he’s an idiot”, as an overall judgement of propane users. That’s primarily concerning the wisdom of someone who is/will be considered an enemy of liberty and the nation deciding to place a 2500 gallon source of “FWOOSH” or “BOOM” near his residence 🤣
Nailed it
