So very sad…… I would think that she would have known there were Mountain lions in the area…. I never would have gone walking knowing there were possibilities of an attack…. But that’s just me…
60 years ago there were mountain lions on the far fringes of my paper route in very rural Marin County, California. One time a friend who was the son of the chief ranger at a local park accompanied me on my route and pointed out the many lion tracks up there. I did not stick around to cadge tips on collection day in that area.
