BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/FOX58) — Jenny Rae Le Roux from Irvine has been a businesswoman for 20 years.

Over the last 10 years, she has owned a management consulting business.

The Republican will be running against Democrat Gov. Gavin Newsom in the California primary election.

She says as an executive, she knows what it takes to reshape the state.

Le Roux says California has lost people and businesses but feels like she could bring growth back to the state.

"Out of all of the candidates, I'm the only one who has worked in organizations the size of the state of California and fixed them and I'm an expert on growth. I'm an international lecturer on growth of places like Harvard Business School and the London School of Economics," Le Roux, said.

Her goals are to make communities safer by focusing on crime and homelessness.

She also says education and bettering the economy are on the top of her to-do list.

The California primary election is June 7.

There are 24 other candidates seeking to unseat Newsom.

CA GOP has officially endorsed State Senator Brian Dahle for Governor...Not her...

Newsome mentioned Dahle in his ad already...Attacking him for being opposed to abortion...Also tried to portray him as a big Trump supporter...

Larry Elder is not running again...In fact, he does not even have a radio show anymore...He quit...

I am going to turn in my ballot to a drop box near a library...Before 8 PM tonight...

Seems like the best bet is to support a more rational democrat, a tulsi gabbard type.

We voted for her today, and I handed our ballots over to a guy, who walks for exercise in our area. He dropped them into a locked ballot box by the voting center.

Tomorrow, I will verify that our ballots were received and counted.

What happened to Larry Elder? Made a lot of money off of TV ads?

“24 other candidates seeking to unseat Newsom.”

I imagine most of the 24 are put up by Dim dark money, to try to help insure the votes against Newsome will be so split he will win, as they - the Dim put up 24 - siphon potential votes away from any GOP candidate.

Voted for Tremino too but hearing Shellenberger getting a lot of conservative votes too
Gruesome Newsom will win, so depressing

I saw an ad by Tremino...On a wall of a building in Downtown Los Angeles...I saw it while driving on 10 Freeway...

The ad had a picture of Tremino next to Newsome...A mention of “clash in capitol”...

I do not like the present primary system in California...
I prefer the old system...”Closed primary”...Only registered Republicans are allowed to vote for a GOP candidate in the primary...

Under the present system, two Democrats could end up in the November run-off...I do not like that idea...

Yes. The California Dims destroyed the whole meaning and purporse of a primary - the electoral manner in which members registered with a party select that party’s candidate. In California I think you cannot even mention your party affiation in the primary campaign. Right?

The GOP should endorse Schellenberger. Don’t wast your time when you can make a statement.
