Nicely stated.
I detest the liberal practice of constantly renaming/rebranding things and I loathe how that mindset has infiltrated both the military and the church.
I recently heard the related term “euphemism treadmill”. Where terms for race, etc are replaced for being insensitive, soon the latest term that means the same thing is also insensitive, and it too has to be replaced.
So soon end up with a string of names for races, mental conditions, etc.
But they all mean the same thing.
And I would guess there is already a name beyond CAG that isn’t public yet... I mean, if the concept is to kind of hide who you are referring to, the latest update is probably useless once it hits Soldier of Fortune magazine... if hat is even around anymore.
