Okay. I knew you should reprogram if you do a delete, but I wasn’t sure if a manufacturer could go the opposite route. Thanks.

Must be all these crazed authoritarian leftists are well off?
Or,they are suicidal and just want to take us down with them?

I’m no sovietologist, but I think it will work something like this:

Money insulates until there is no supply.

Inner Party members are the last to suffer.

Outer Party members are advised to suck it up, lest they be banished to prole-dom.

Proles need to suffer for whatever reasons, but mostly to insure supply for the Inner Party. To achieve this state, some Party members steal from the proles, while others supply them at inflated prices. The proles only know how to produce or consume (this is divided by rural/urban differences & producers will be conscripted to do so while consumers will be beggared ), until the resources are all destroyed and then they will be liquidated, as well.

Eventually, parallel markets/supply chains/sources develop organically, but at a high cost of life and civility (ie: civil war)

Ideology over all until the ultimate failure ends in total collapse. At this point, black marketeers have risen to oligarch status and they scoop up all the means of production left in existence and the cycle starts anew.

The Inner & Outer Party and the collaborating proles aren’t consciously suicidal. They are compliant until they are ousted &/or die. It is dog eat dog and devil take the hindmost, but they don’t understand that. Instead, they are kept compliant by fear, intimidation, and a meager dole.

Preparation and possession of skills needed by the Inner Party provide some protection, but eventually supplies run out and there are no resources to keep up the infrastructure. By then, it is too late.

Once the inertia of the formerly functioning society weakens, momentum rules, but there are inflection points along the way where proles and Outer Party members have some leverage, if they recognize the point & have the will & opportunity to use it.

I’d rather see some black diesel smoke than no food.

The destroyers have utilized what was known as Bio-Leninism. That is, they purposely created their base from the dregs, the disenfranchised and the freaks. This is why the government-controlled education system is busily indoctrinating children into freakdom, elevating similar role models to teacher status and using the captured medical system to ensure a continuous supply.

However, at the tipping point, all but the Inner Party are expendable because the goal of destruction is then inevitable.

So true. I remember the first time I noticed that in the late 80s. My wife and I were driving through central Illinois and they were ripping Up what looked like perfect track and I asked my wife if they were crazy.

She replied something about more biking trails if I recall.

I’m more concerned about DEF shortages.

Unless the DEP relaxes the emission controls, no DEF, no trucks. They can be swimming in a sea of diesel but cannot get out of limp mode without the stuff.

Could always bypass the DEF system. then you don't have to worry about it!
