Paying their anchors such ridiculous salaries it’s no wonder they’re struggling. Nothing special about her job, you could easily replace her with a competent person for $100k. Just need someone who can lie with a straight face.

It’s a well deserved pay cut. She has made the “CBS Evening News” unwatchable. The newscast is way to saccharine for my taste. It’s all about emoting and not about thinking.
Management at CBS must be inept. Her employment contract ended in April. If they wanted to get rid of her all they had to do was not renew the contract. Why offer a contract renewal at a lower salary when time was running out on the clock?
Now she has a contract for some period of time. They still want to get rid of her because her show is not performing. Absent a miracle rebound CBS will eventually fire her and pay off the new contract. Management will look like fools at that time.
Norah will laugh all the way to the bank and enjoy her retirement.
