I remember when AIDS came on the scene. The poor poop packers screamed to high heaven when it was suggested they should be quarantined. The progressives came to their rescue and made them (and the alphabet groups) a protected class.

I also remember them screaming bloody murder when they were told that they cannot donate blood during blood drives. The result of that tantrum? They now are allowed to donate blood.
