I have two sisters. I’m in the middle. The oldest is 6 years older than me. My younger is only 15 months younger. I kind of made her life miserable teasing her growing up. 😆
The night mom passed we were sharing some of our high school hijinx with our older sister. We were telling her about the time we had a blind substitute teacher (really😂) and we were all laughing so hard, then suddenly we realized mom’s breathing had changed and it was just a few minutes later she breathed her last.
We think she thought, “they’re going to be fine. I can go now”

It is really special when the family can be around at death and it is peaceful. I got to do the same, 5 of us kids all there when my mom passed. We were listening to music and talking to each other after her she was unable to respond. I realized she was soon passing and changed the music to a peaceful worship song by Michael Talbot. Within minutes she breathed her last. We washed her and dressed her to where she appeared she was sleeping. Her friends at the senior home came and sat down next to her and talked to her as if she was still there listening. It was really a good experience, just before she passed she opened her eyes and smiled, she looked up like someone was just above her. Pretty sure it was Jesus coming to get her.
