How nice that you have the day off!
We’re going to the kid’s house....son in law will BBQ, and we’ll each take different side dishes, and, desserts.
I made a cake, tonight, that used a new (for me) method. You don’t pre-heat the oven....you put it in a cold oven, then set to 325º....and bake for 1 ½ hours.
It baked, beautifully!
First time I’ve ever baked a cake, like this. I made it in a bundt pan and glazed it with my browned butter frosting (thinned, for glaze). It’s a praline cake....I hope it tastes okay.
