My late next door neighbor (miss her SO much!) knew
how to do just about anything!
She used to make this white cream sauce (gravy?) with
slices of heard boiled eggs in it. Heavenly!
She served it over salmon pie.
She died very suddenly one evening.
I had brought her some flowers that afternoon, and we had
coffee together, A few hours later, she was gone.
“White cream sauce (gravy?)” could be milk gravy that my mom taught me to make for cream tuna on toast, sliced eggs go in it too.
I bet you are so happy you took her flowers and had coffee on that day, as I’m sure she was too.
