My dad did all the canning growing up. I love this vintage picture. Looks a lot like our basement in Chicago, minus the milk can. Plus the sauerkraut crock stayed in the garage for the winter.

Canning fruit is extremely easy. Doesn’t require pressure canner. I taught myself. If you have access to a lot of fruit, it’s very useful.
