When I was teaching the Red Cross came once maybe a couple times a year to the high school asking kids to donate. As my class was 1st period orchestra and the kids are looking for an excuse to get out of class, several volunteered without much coercion.

Though it's coercion to get out of class. With free drinks, candy and pastries. It's similar to what the prisoners in Arkansas got.
