Beautiful! And true!

TtT offers concrete solutions to reduce school shootings:

1). Every building should have a single point of entry.
2). Strong exterior fencing, metal detectors & new tech preventing an unauthorized person entering a school.
3). Every person checked, scanned & screened.
4). Hardened classroom doors that are lockable from the inside.
5). A police officer or armed guard at every school on duty at all times.

And I would add:

6. Cameras in every classroom that can be switched on remotely to see what the shooter is doing in the classroom. That would help LE know if they should charge in.

If every staff and student had to wear or carry a badge while in school and monitors set up to detect those then anyone without a badge would be stopped. In the high school I worked all staff had ID on a lanyard and students had clipped to back packs. Unfortunately it was not a monitored badge.

We didn’t have to worry about that when nuclear families who ate dinner together and went to church on Sundays were the norm. Now such people have come to be regarded as rather an oddity and are the subject of derision and ridicule.

So call me a nostalgic old fool. The church bell tolling the top of the hour just now put a cap on it for me.
