The whole thing seemed strange.
uvalde has a population of about 16k and a police force of 28.
Nobody can really be prepared for something like this, but could it be a small town with a small police force just didn’t know what to do ?

Diehl has my vote! It would be great if President Trump came again, I’d wait in line for sure. I saw him the first and only time he came to MA on 11/18/2015 (I have the ticket on my wall).

Obviously I have no way of knowing.... but I will observe that they appear to be grandparents, not parents. My child was a grand who we adopted. When we adopted him we made a serious effort to be real family, and we worked really hard on that. Always going places as a family, having him involved in any and everything. Attending every single baseball game, band concert, scout meeting with him. We were very "intentional" parents. Not every grandparent who takes on their grands is like that.

While I was biologically his grandmother, I was legally, and on his birth certificate, his mother. He called us mom and dad. If you asked me, he was my son. I'm just observing they may not have worked at it as hard as we did. Raising a youngster as an old person is a lot of work!
