If it was me, I'd have bought the Cobain guitar and carved "Dave Grohl killed me" into the body, just to annoy him. Or I'd have bought the entire Leifson collection instead.

gotta admit that song was AWESOME
if only because it was so indisputably, undeniably powerful.

Whoever added howmuch4theshotgun as a keyword has some serious issues...and should be given the “keyword of the year” award.

It's low for Cobain. His previously sold guitar -- a 1959 Martin D-18E with a Bartolini pickup kluged into the soundhole and played upside down -- sold for over $6 million in 2020.

Nirvana was ridiculously overrated.

I owned and gigged with a 65 Mustang. Its a nice, well made instrument that’s easy to play but it had a delicate vibrato and the stock pickups were a bit weak. It was basically an upgraded Duo-Sonic.
To: Rebelbase
The buyer was able to afford it thanks to the many fans of his nfl footbalk team.

Unplugged was awesome...I read somewhere Cobain wanted to change direction in music would have been interesting.

Not much of a Nirvana guy, but I did love the cover of The Man Who Sold the World.
