From a podcast I listened to lately, apparently Ukraine has a widespread and well-entrenched subculture of traditional witchcraft and the occult. Just like the neo-pagans we have here that tried to place a hex on President Trump, the Ukrainian witches are directing similar efforts against Putin and his invading soldiers.
Not defending their witchery nonsense but it does have the “respectability” of being around a long long time. Quite unlike our Western “I-Did-This-for-a-Renaissance-Festival-Event-&-I-Felt-So-Cool!-It-Got-Me-Laid-&-They-Have-the-Best-Weed-And-It-Makes-Mom-&-Dad-Mad!-So-It-Has-to-be-a-Religion! Right?” so-called (and self-called!) “pagans\witches” we have here!
