Some heavy trucks only have a front plate..

depends on how they are registered and where. In WI apportioned plates go on the front with none on the rear.

These can be had on e-bay for under $200 (but they say they dont ship to US)

Clever.

First, the auto-sear for Glock-19s, and now the license plate flipper.

There's some great cheap tech that's becoming easily available to criminals these days.

Yes, and then there are those who have a hissy fit because someone who caused an accident keeps on going secure in the knowledge that nobody can read their plate. I can’t stand those greedy accident victims.

Here it seems that instead of plates they have a huge sign painted on the back of the truck informing you that if their poorly secured load falls off and hits your car it’s your fault, not theirs.
