I was surprised that Clay and Buck used Rush’s music. Seems like exploitation. Clay and Buck are smooth and intelligent and seem like nice people but they give out basically nothing but repetitions of news I’ve already heard. Occasionally some good analysis.
That was the syndicator Premiere Networks’ decision to carry on the format. Don’t blame the new guys.
Clay and Buck don’t offer much different from what many city talk shows have. Rush offered a different take or perspective one rarely heard. If something big happened, I wanted to hear Rush’s perspective. Clay and Buck? It’s background noise but I’ve thought the thoughts before hearing them say them so it isn’t a big deal.
