What would you call “independent verification”?
In common crimes, what “independent verification” is sought to convict?
Ballot box videos would have provided excellent independent verification. TTV could have displayed a mule map that showed a ballot dropoff at a particular time, then shown a video of the ballot box taken at exactly the same time with the mule in action. Had TTV done that, case closed.
With four million minutes of ballot box video and tens of thousands of geospatially confirmed mule ballot dropoffs, it should have been easy for TTV to find such videos.
That did not happen. TTV finally came up with a video of a single mule dropping ballots into two ballot boxes. It was not included in 2000 Mules because of low video quality. It is not clear that TTV found that video using mule maps, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. Still, it is just one mule.
So, scratch independent verification by ballot box videos.
Another method of independent verification would have been from sworn testimony from mules tracked down by law enforcement from TTV's cell phone tracking data. I have not seen that reported, and TTV's relationship with law enforcement does not appear to be good.
From the TTV 2000 Mules FAQ:
https://www.truethevote.org/ttv-2000mules-faqs/
Has True the Vote told law enforcement, the FBI, elected officials? We did involve federal and state officials and law enforcement and are working with those who wish to act. Unfortunately, some are not willing to work with us which is why we are encouraging all Americans to take action in their state to ensure free and fair elections.
So, no report of specific investigations even beginning in any state. Not one.
It doesn't look like sworn testimony from mules will be happening soon.
The mule maps are just maps with squiggly lines on them. TTV has released none of the specifics of how they were created, or of the expertise of the technicians who created them. Nothing provides specific verification that those squiggly lines show mules. The lines might just show what comes up when you start searching for patterns in one petabyte of data.
