May 18th:

The Russian Ruble is the years best performing currency.

The Ruble strengthened slightly above 63 per dollar for the first time since 2020 and hit a five year high against the Euro at 66 rubles, on the Moscow exchange.

The Ruble is the biggest gainer with 12.5 percent increase against the US Dollar among the 36 major currencies....., according to Reuters.
****

All this as OBIDEN rushes to break the USA and starve out the European NATO allies in Europe, with food and fuel.

Russia grinds through eastern UKR, secures those eastern city states, decimates the Azovs, exposes the bio-labs & collects the receipts, bombs the nuke facility administration building and goes after access to the Black Sea, sells oil in only Rubles for it and the abused Russian-speaking eastern Ukrainians applaud his arrivals.

Mostly, Putin destroys OBiden’s school girl administration and the bank of the good ole Cabal club located in UKR.

Biden is embarrassed and shamed, Everywhere. If he has any capacity left to be embarrassed.

IIRC, it was recently announced that the Ruble is now backed by gold. Meanwhile the US dollar remains an IOU to the Fed backed by "The full faith and credit of the United States Government".

What, exactly, is "The full faith and credit of the United States Government" worth these days?
