just got done watching a marathon of reactions to hearing Bobby Hatfield doin “Unchained Melody” from the Any Williams show in 1965. The reactions were priceless.

One of my favorites.
The two young men who started The Righteous Brothers performed in clubs around naval bases in Southern California.
They became local favorites. One evening someone from the audience stood up and shouted out, “That was Righteous, Brothers” and thus their name was born.
The title of the song came from the fact, it was the otherwise unnamed theme song from a little-known prison movie named, “Unchained”. Ha ha, I just looked it up on imdb. Barabra Hale (aka Della Street) had second billing in the movie. Cool!
If you didn’t listen to the entire “Unchained Melody” song in that video, you ain’t righteous! That is really a great song.
