When someone who supports abortion suggests that if Republicans are going to ban abortion, it is only fair to regulate sperm, the only appropriate response is to mock such an absurd comparison. Wednesday’s Hallie Jackson Reports on MSNBC took a different approach, however, and suggested that the comparison was completely fair.
Jackson led Capitol Hill correspondent Ali Vitali with remarks from Rep. Cori Bush, “And somebody that you spoke with, Ali, today, I know, Congresswoman Cori Bush, framed it in rather provocative terms about what about the regulation of sperm, right? That’s something she talked about right? And—and—how that is not part of the conversation at this moment. Explain that.”
Instead of pointing out the absurdity of Bush’s remarks, Vitali gave them credence, “Yeah. I mean, look, it was a provocative way of saying it because we were in her office doing an on the record, but off camera conversation with a small group of reporters and she framed it as right now we are looking at regulating uteruses and eggs, but we're not looking at the male side of this equation.”
No. Uteruses and eggs, just like sperm, do not constitute life by themselves. That’s basic high school biology that Bush, Jackson, and Vitali just failed.
Still, Vitali continued, “And I think the comment was in some ways tongue in cheek, but she made the point that there is no conversation right now about the male role in all of this. And of course, Cori Bush is someone whose reaction, I think it is important to highlight, because she's one of just a few members and by a few, I mean three or four members in this body in the House who have actually accessed abortion care.”

My wife regulated my sperm for the last 50 years. I only had one place to deposit it. If I got caught trying to use another account I would lose my check book. You could call it, narrowing the playing field I suppose. 😛
Go for it.
Quite true! A major oversight!
So, when do we males get our veto right when an abortion is proposed?
Regards,
I believe the general feeling is we males want the baby killed. Wrong as a generalization but I think it’s the perception. As you say.
Regards
No, actually, the man's role has indeed been left out of this discussion for far too long!
Only problem (for the pro-Death crowd) is that, once you acknowledge that men do have a part in this and do bear some of the responsibility, it is inevitable that one must also concede that they therefore should also have some say in the matter!
That would be anathema to the pro-Death crowd!
"The issue is never the issue! The issue is always the Revolution!"
The pro-Death crowd doesn't care about poor Black women being "punished" with a baby or being "forced" to undergo a back-alley abortion! Rather, their goal is - and has always been - to frame reproduction as a matter solely of the woman, to cast women in the role of "Sole Arbiter" over life and death, to entirely exclude men from the picture, and thus to drive a wedge between the sexes! (With the "helpful" State as accessory to the crime.)
When lawmakers joke about "regulating sperm," this is a clear indication that they have run out of even only halfway legitimate arguments and are now scraping the bottom of the barrel, reaching for ludicrous comparisons in the hope that the entire discussion will drown in derision and laughter.
Regards,
If a survey were carried out showing that 99.9% of all men involved in these pregnancies were in favor of an abortion...
If such a survey showed that men were even more adamant about ending the child's life as the mothers...
The Left would be appalled, and would do everything in its power to suppress the findings!
The Left can NEVER acknowledge men's role in pregnancies, can NEVER recognize them as "stakeholders," since to do so would open a whole can of worms - with (for the Left) unpleasant implications.
Since men would then - rightly - have a say in the matter (and the Left wants to "empower" women WITHOUT empowering men).
Regards,
Regulating sperm is just a different version of threatening a sex strike. I bet not one woman who has been impregnated by artificial means has aborted the baby except in medical emergencies. Thanks to feminists, males, who have been absolved of their responsibilities, have been the biggest beneficiaries of Roe Vs Wade. This realization really pisses left wing women off.
True. When you paint with a broad brush you most often paint outside the lines. Dad told me, if you won’t live with her forever, don’t sleep with her. If you knock her up, you will marry her. Her dad don’t have to kill you. I will.
It’s My raising, I guess but it was handed down to my kids. I fear it’s not taught today. A shame. Regards
What a load.....
The most cruel, destructive, and false presumption in existence is the presumption that fathers, by default, reject parenthood and thus reject their daughters and sons.
Fathers who love their daughters and sons and want to exercise their natural right to protect their daughters and sons are obviously not “beneficiaries of Roe vs. Wade”.
Abortion as “A Woman’s Right To Choose” means that every father’s daughters and sons can be murdered over his objections.
