Wife has one not sure where from and how old but we have moved it to a 3 ring binder as cover was in bad shape. Also have an old Good House Keeping cookbook. Both are very very good for basic cooking if you don’t have a clue to start with, even if you know how to cook they are good for basic recipes and things you have not tried in awhile.
For those posting about government actual food commodities, many years ago I wound up in a spot where people would give them to me (I was not signed up for the program). They would eat the “easy stuff” like canned meat, cheese and peanut butter but did/would not go to the trouble to use the flour, molasses and other basic stuff that required actual cooking. I learned to cook some nice fod from that.
