My sister and I had lunch at the Fraunces Tavern in 2012. I loved the dark, old-time feel of the place. You can sense the history in there. Plus, the food is decent and they make a nice Bloody Mary.

Full disclosure: I have not been to NYC or Fraunces Tavern, but did learn about the farewell speech by George Washington, to his Officer Corp, taking place here, and a first-person account exists of the speech and can be seen in a museum section of the tavern.
We always enjoyed a toast to Ben and George, every visit to Fraunces Tavern....on Pearl St in the financial district.

The Bill of Rights was passed, at the corner of Wall Street and Nassau, in the Federal Nat’l bldg...which is also where Washington’s Inauguration was held.
