2. A national PAID day off so everyone has no excuse and can get to the polls to vote.
3. All votes need to be in by a determined deadline, say, 8:00 - 9:00 PM. That's it. No votes can be cast afterwards, I don't care how long the lines are or how big the stacks of votes are.
All of which require state legislation, which requires that the states are controlled by Republicans.
That is true, and thanks for pointing that out. No one (in their right mind of course) wants to see federally mandated voter laws. I would hope that if a number of states start adopting such rules that others would follow suit. Voter laws need to be standardized across the board.
