I don’t believe Roe vs Wade will be overturned until it happens. Kavanaugh and ACB may be reluctant to do anything about it. It’s a political issue similar to slavery and the Supreme Court never overturned that “Peculiar Institution”. So SCOTUS may end up punting this issue.

Agree it is good to wait until the final decision is in the books. However, something interesting is happening across the nation. For the first time in almost 50 years there is open talk about the pro and con of Roe v Wade. This is important that for most younger Americans they believe abortion is actually in the Constitution.

Second outside of the extreme pro-abortion crowd (and pro-life crowd), most Americans have already decide about abortion. They are willing to accept what ever decision the court hands down. In other words I don’t think the Justices really have that much pressure to change their minds and will go along with overturning Roe v Wade.

Last point - Overturning Roe v Wade will be like lancing a boil and allowing all that festering pus to escape the body politic and begin to heal.

The states that want abortions will have them and the states that want to ban or regulate them will be allowed to do so without being sued as often.

Final thought - if abortion is no longer a Constitutionally protected right, then states can apply the same rules and regulations to abortion mills as they do to any medical establishment.

Anyway these are just my thoughts on the matter.

Good point. But it appears that many people still believe that the right to abortion is enshrined in the Constitution and they are willing to fight over it. It's like a religion to them. I don't get it in a day. I can see why a person may decide to be pro-choice. But to be a zealot over this issue like we see some people on the Left doing at this moment?
