Chargers can charge based on energy delivered, or time on charger. By the operating characteristics of the vehicles battery management, you can get taken to the cleaners on a time charger for energy delivered over ~80% as the vehicle slows the rate for battery life optimization over that.
That Mach E I drove would be fine as a commuter, but even a two hour trip is nuts. Makes it a four hour trip.
