I’d rather send jobs to Mexico than China.
If companies had made the investment in Mexican manufacturing they made in China over the last 30 years both the US and Mexico would be better off today.
A lot of automotive components went from US manufacturing to Mexico but then moved on to China.
What I find interesting currently is a lot of those auto parts that used to come from China are now from Vietnam, India, and Indonesia.
I think the Chinese have moved up the wage scale enough to enable other 3rd world locations.
What ever happened to all of the maquiadoras that were being built, decades ago?
We don’t hear much about them, any more.
