Yeah, I get that!
We always started after Labor Day, but I always thought it was because we lived in a farming community and the kids were needed to harvest crops. We got out about the third week in May and again I thought it was for planting. No snow days.
I just donated five boxes of books. Had I known you were looking, I could have sent them to you. I love thrift stores and sales racks. Lots of good finds!
Our school always started right after Labor Day, no matter where we lived and as Navy brats, that was all over the place. We always went to around the first week in June.
Here, the kiddos have already been in school a week and they’ll get out in May.
And boy howdy, you can sure tell that the college kids are back.
