FD called a while ago, and we discussed next year’s birthdays/Mother’s Day event, The Trifecta, when her birthday is on Saturday, Sunday is Mother’s Day and my birthday is Monday, and that we should continue the tradition of celebrating the three days together, as we did in Vegas. (The years when she was speaking to me, at least!) So perhaps she’ll make the effort to fly out.
As for today, I’ll do as I do most days: I’ll take it as it comes. I really wanted to just come home after church, but “they” made plans for me, so I’ll do what I’m told.
Now to go put on that happy face! ;o]
“Do your best!” is the motto of the Cub Scouts.
I’m here!
I was surprised by them coming “early” and by a corsage (the first ever) and Church was nice with talks about mothers and my favorite, a song by the Primary children.
Then back to the Other Folks, and my Brave Face. Until I just got too tired to deal any more. Now, I have to go take my Happy, Brave Face off so it doesn’t itch any more. (stupid scars)
It was a good day because I made it so. ;o]
