Back when our kids were kids, we listened to “Focus on the Family’s Adventures in Odyssey.” At some point one character described another as maladroit while some younger children were listening. The younger ones decided that “millijoit” must be a huge insult and started using it.
Later, when they tried to claim they hadn’t done anything wrong because they didn’t even know what it meant, they got lectured on the intent being more important than the understanding.
Anyway, it sounds like you have that show running on the mammoth steppe.
Kathleen has assimilated “dipthong.” It will be interesting to see if she tries it on any of the other Cub Scouts next week.
