Whether you are happy with the Sussman verdict or not, his testimony was taken under oath. Meaning, he is locked into his account. He is also a material witness that can be subpoenaed for every trial going forward.
If Sussman “pleads the 5th,” and refuses to testify for fear of further self incrimination, or perjury, the effect would be to make himself legally unavailable.
If this happens, his previous sworn testimony comes in. VERY EASY to establish elements of a conspiracy that way.

Sussman was being tried as a civilian. If he was convicted of lying to the FBI, it would exonerate both HRC and the FBI.
He DIDN’T LIE to the FBI — they were complicit in it. Had to charge him with something to get evidence admitted.
Barr announced this case reveals HRC is guilty of SEDITION. If they slap Sussman on the wrist for lying to the FBI, THE WHOLE THING BLOWS UP and HRC has plausible deniability. “How was I supposed to know he was gonna lie? I was paying my lawyer to represent me.”
