Do you think a raccoon would hurt the kittens? I mean, really go out of his way to get in to the screened in porch. I didn’t know but I saw Mama cat was completely fluffed up so I figure she knew something I didn’t.
Did you ever fine the missing kittehs?
“Do you think a raccoon would hurt the kittens? I mean, really go out of his way to get in to the screened in porch.”
A few mornings when I got up raccoons were eating the cats’ kibble on the screen porch. There was a screen door at each end, and we left them propped open about 10-12” so the cats could come and eat. Possums, too.
Our neighbor across the street said a raccoon had attacked their dachshund, so we figured kittens would be in danger.
RE: RACCOONS
I think a pack of them did my beloved Cougar in. They growl at one another under the bird feeders every night.
Raccoons are as vicious an animal as you can find. They used to get into the hen house now and again and slice the hens from the bottom, right up the front, to their heads. Not to eat, just to kill. We caught a few of them and had no problem shooting them....they’re that mean. Don’t let the cuteness of the babies fool you.
In California there were so many raccoons we couldn’t leave cat doors open because they would come in the house. Everyone’s cats went out, including mine, and there was never a problem.
Raccoons will kill them.
They, and cats are enemies.
Our neighbor found that out the hard way.
Keep them inside!
