Ugh....I certainly can relate. That sounds like what we were (both!) doing, about a month ago.
Hopefully, the winds will blow all of that pollen out (that your dear hubby may miss) and quickly die down.
Nice that the temps have lowered.
What is the status on the fire? I pray it has dwindled, or gone away. 🙏🏻
