He cited the 1997 Flores Settlement. there are 3 places “food as appropriate” for minors is mentioned.
I’m guessing they are on solid ground here...
” Facilities will provide access to toilets and sinks, drinking water and food as appropriate, medical assistance if the minor is in need of emergency services, adequate temperature control and ventilation, adequate supervision to protect minors from others, and contact with family members who were arrested with the minor.”
and
“1. Proper physical care and maintenance, including suitable living accommodations, food,
appropriate clothing, and personal grooming items. “
and
” Such facilities will have access to toilets and sinks, drinking water and food as appropriate, medical assistance if the minor is in need of emergency services, adequate temperature control and ventilation, adequate supervision to protect minors from others, and contact with family members who were arrested with the minor.”

I was referring to the immigration law on the books that sends back most illegals immediately. The only causes for claiming asylum was fear of persecution of CLASSES of people for religious, political or other specific reasons. Today, they are being told to say they are in fear for their lives individually and that’s all it takes to get in. Most are coming in for economic reasons and for a better life, BUT THOSE PEOPLE ARE SUPPOSED TO APPLY AT HOME AND WAIT IN LINE. THAT’S THE LAW I’m talking about, not the different policies and lower court rulings.
Your link refers to a settlement agreement with policies or regulations that have gone back and forth ever since.
To hold this up as proof that illegal babies must get food over citizen babies is beyond the pale. If law was followed and we didn’t have thousands in everyday it wouldn’t even be an issue.
And I suppose they will get WIC or some other welfare program, which is given preference to formula sales over working people that have to pay. Is that justice, or even moral?
