More than 1,000 Ukrainian soldiers are currently at the Azovstal plant, hundreds of them are wounded, according to Deputy Prime Minister Irina Vereshchuk. The deputy commander of the Azov regiment Svyatoslav Palamar (nickname Kalina) recently gave an interview to the BBC, that Ukrainian forces are suffering significant losses, counted in thousands of servicemen. The Azov militants reportedly have about 600 wounded. Many of the injured are dying due to the lack of medicines. Palamar also accused the Ukrainian command that it actually left the militants at Azovstal dying.
