“Where did you pick up that she killed herself?”
How else do you die from depression. It’s a mental disease, not a physical one, so she had to have ended her own life somehow. My guess is an overdose of pills. Most painless way to do it. Just go to sleep and don’t wake up.
My mom did just that. She was 53. OD’d on sleeping pills and wine. Didn’t leave a note. But the signs were there.
A week before, she bought a new dress. Way out of character. Got her hair done as well as her nails. She never spent money on her nails. Bought a ton of groceries so that my dad wouldn’t have to. Paid bills in advance. She was preparing to take her life and we didn’t notice the strange behavior.
It devastated my dad because he had spent so many years trying to make her life happy.
Funeral was awkward.
