Soetoro has a disdain for the Constitution and refers to it as "a charter of negative liberties". Instead of a guidance for the restraint of what government can do to its citizens, he wants it to be a description of things government can give you, with all the constraints attached to that level of giveaways.

I guess I fall in the originalist camp. If it ain’t in the Constitution then the States decide.
