Can you imagine substituting that with kittens? How people would be outraged? Just having watched new kittens be born this past night, it is amazing how the mother INSTINCTIVELY
KNOWS to care and nurture the kittens immediately as they are being born, and to look for a nesting place as she is ready to birth. No one taught her, no one instructed her. She just KNEW. And knew what to do. And if the little helpless and blind (yes blind at birth) cannot find nourishment, the mother will paw them over to a teet where they can eat. She patiently gives herself and time to her newborn kittens. She licks them clean and fluffs them up and purrs loudly to comfort them. Which only goes to prove - sometimes, humans are less or worse than animals. Long live Kittehs!
