As a person with three working dachshunds (fox, groundhog and rabbit hunting) I couldn’t agree with you more.
Would you call your dachshunds “dackel” or “teckel”? The Euro name for hunting dachshunds, known as the best small game hunting dogs. Full time hunting dogs, and known for their savagery, they are not pets.
I gather when fighting with larger dogs, they get underneath them and eviscerate them. Tailor made for fighting in burrows.
