STRINGGG PINGGG!.............
Try telling that to your boss when you’re late.
Do I have time enough to read this?
I recall an engineering textbook on measurements. In the fronticpiece, a breif remark about the measurement of time. We don;t what it is, but we do know, whatever it is, the older we get, the faster it goes.
In engineering, derivitives over time are ubiquitous. Accelleration due to gravity? Second time-base derivative of position.
No more birthdays? WTF!!
Might actually work at Oak Ridge................
Time is based on gravity.
The more gravity there is the slower time is.
Time would STOP with enough gravity......................
“But what’s the point of acting to bring about a change in the future when, in a very real sense, there is no future to act for?
What’s the point of punishing someone for a past action, when there is no past and so, apparently, no such action?”
See that’s where physicists become silly. Of course you can plan for the future and hold people accountable for actions, even if time is a measurement of physical events and not a separate dimension.
Time is a function of the frequency of consciousness from which we view it.
When consciousness frequency approaches higher limits, Time collapses.
So I can eat carbs is what you're saying.
Don’t get me wrong. As a retired physics teacher, I enjoy these kinds of articles. But I miss the days when physicists mainly investigated practical things, like voltage differences and bond strengths.
Now it seems like they’re all obsessed with science fiction stuff, like parallel universes and string theory. The math might work, but there is no hard experimental evidence. And in the case of string theory, it’s thought that there can never be any hard experimental evidence.
Maybe there’s nothin practical left to investigate.
Everything would be on the floor and we would stub our toes all the time.
Time is a state of consciousness.
Revelation 1:8: “I am the Alpha and the Omega” God is in the past, the present and the future.
When you die, you move beyond that state of consciousness. Example: Your wife who passed many years ago will arrive at the same time as you do.
We suggest the discovery that time does not exist may have no direct impact on our lives, even while it propels physics into a new era.
I always thought ‘time’ was a measurement of rate of change.
Thus when a child is in Delta frequency, time appears to go by very slow.
I joke that time and life are like a roll of toilet paper, the closer you get to the end, the faster it goes.
That sure explains a lot!
There wouldn’t be a universe without a universe, and there is no meaning to time without existence of a universe or a reality or whatever. The idea of time “before the universe” is literally nonsense. Each totally depends on the other.
