He needs to learn the job alongside Trump as his VP. By job I don’t mean how to manage or govern. Trump has skills and qualities that go way beyond.

DeSantis is more valuable as FL Gov than as VP. Short of PDJT dying in office, there would be no reason for DeSantis to be there imo.

“Trump has skills and qualities that go way beyond.”

So does DeSantis.

VP would sort of be a waste of DeSantis' skills and talents, and that is really saying something. The VP job is a resume enhancer for the person taking the role and an attack dog and weakness shorer-upper for the Presidential campaigns, but in office they don't really lead many things. Someone like Ric Grenell would be perfect in that role.

If Trump were to run again and get reelected (outside the margin of fraud this time) I think DeSantis would be type of Attorney General America would need at that point in history, and if not that, staying on as Governor of Florida and leading the fight for federalism, and it would still keep him a viable Presidential candidate.

If he is not the presidential candidate he needs to stay on as Florida governor. No need waste four years.

Frankly, as he wins a solid reflection this November, I expect he’ll move way up in primary polls. I know a lot of people who would rather dump the baggage that comes with Trump. I would enthusiastically vote for either in 2024, but there are a lot of people dug in against Trump.

And maybe DeSantis can teach Trump how to select staff and advisors.

Based on what DeSantis is achieving in Florida it’s clear he already knows the job.
