I might add the dual purpose jack handle isn't long enough to provide enough leverage to loosen the lug nuts for many people.

Most new cars today come with roadside service if not AAA offers it very cheaply, Truth is most driving today is on modern highways. I have probably had one flat in the last 40 years, the first 40 years I had them weekly, so everyone knew how to patch a tube because they had too. Now everyone has a cell phone and help is only a call away. If you live in a 2nd amendment state you can wait safely, at least not undefended.

If I have a flat on a major expressway I would likely call roadside assistance. I’ve been fairly lucky over the years. I’ve been able to catch leaky tires in time to drive the car to a tire shop. I’ve had 2 or 3 flats over the years and they occurred while parked.
