Re: Netflix shares crashing

I don’t have a subscription and I’ve never watched anything on Netflix, but my son has it. He told me that everyone got it and used it heavily in 2020 and 2021 when people were locked down and working from home. When the world started opening up again, people started socializing and doing things outside the home. He said there just wasn’t as much time to watch Netflix, so the really busy ones cancelled it, and the others got smaller viewing plans.
The story ignores the fact that Netflix likely had the best 18 months in its history during the worst of covid and this may be just a return to normal viewing habits. In this one case, I’m not sure the reduced demand has anything to do with wokeness or politics.
I know nothing, never watch anything or keep track of this kind of thing.
