I would not get rid of helicopters.

Which have a 15 sec survival time in a peer conflict. Once seen, instantly destroyed.
Tanks have their place properly used with CAS and troops. Take away the tanks, who protects the troops?

Helicopters have a lot of functions. The days of “Ride of the Valkyries” were cool in 1970s movies, and in actual combat as CAS they were good, if the enemy wasn’t properly equipped against them; but in today’s environment against a modern force, or a modernly-equipped force, I’d be reluctant to employ them as such. The same threat against helicopters also affects tanks: Modern weaponry. Also, compared to helicopters, tanks can’t take effective evasive action: They are too heavy and too slow. Modern arty is more effective in reducing a target, anyway. I’m afraid tanks have gone the way of the battleship. JMHO.
