Once an internet system achieves ‘network effect’ and ‘market power’ it’s nearly impossible for a new entrant to dislodge them. Money alone can’t overcome those advantages. This is why we haven’t seen any serious rivals to Facebook or Amazon or Twitter and it’s unlikely that we will. Musk knows this, and it’s why he is going after Twitter.
