My personal favorite concept is zinc-air fuel cells, and refueling would involve dumping your zinc oxide/hydroxide while winding a zinc chain onto a spool.
Good point! Zinc-air is an interesting tech for several reasons. Zinc-air, like gasoline engines uses the air as an oxidizer. Your car isn’t a bomb.
So if they can solve the poisoning of the electrolyte problem, this could be a viable alternative to methanol.
