Nevertheless, DeSantis is bringing a large footprint, not playing around, showing his muscular foresight, fortitude, and, all of it screaming with the MAGA platform.. which is 100% Trump’s own legacy and agenda.
Trump is mum, either on purpose, or, in the case of an “end run” scenario, because POTUS can not, due to the familiar MAGA substance of each DeSantis movements.

POTUS 45 is good for “reinstatement”. He has signaled no interest, so far, in another regular, old & grueling campaign, in 2024, and will doubtless be looking forward to the future for MAGA being enshrined in stone for at least a couple of generations. Advance personnel is a keystone

I do not think Trump will run in 2024. Exactly how this will all play out remains to be seen. But my opinion (haha) is that Trump will be back before the midterms, and continue the term, but not run in 2024. Age, plus the years he has sacrificed to save our country must have taken a toll on him and his family and he has done more than any human being could have done. After arrests and clean up the next president will not have such a hard road.
Who will run after DJT? dunno. I think (again opinion) that DeSantis may run in 2024 if there is a similarly qualified candidate for FL governor. I have high regard for Pompeo and think he is also presidential material. Maybe Pompeo/DeSantis?

I agree with that. DeSantis increasing his visibility and demonstrating his potential and willingness to perpetuate the MAGA agenda is a terrific way to make his Presidential aspirations and abilities known. President Trump will be 75 in less than 2 months and has been through hell and back these last 7 years, including several assassination attempts.
Once he decides the MAGA agenda is in good hands, that man deserves a more peaceful and restful retirement. Which MAGA man/woman succeeds PDJT will probably be dictated by whether the US is still at war/at risk. The free world may need another wartime president to continue the battle and cleanup. If that job has been largely completed, a peacetime president will suffice. They’re two different kinds of men, in my opinion.
