Russia never planned a blitzkrieg on Kyiv.

Utter nonsense. It is clear from their actions that that was precisely what that had tried to do. They failed and are now withdrawing troops from the Kyiv area. This is not to say that they might not prevail in other areas.

The author also fails to mention that one of the reasons that Ukraine wanted to join NATO was because Russia had previously twice invaded, in violation of their pledge to recognize Ukraine in its existing borders. Ukraine might have been imprudent but Russia is not on the side of the angels.

Someone's been divining bright ideas from watching media rattlers at Fox News.

Russia could smash Kiev into a pile of steaming trash within the next five minutes if they wanted a "blitz." Everyone knows that, except you.

Also, anyone with half-an-ass education knows what a blitzkrieg looks like, especially when the aggressor completely owns the sky.

I was guessing this is an April fools joke. The author of this Russian propaganda piece is fully delusional. As are the Freepers who read it and believe they've finally read “truth”. It was obvious from day one that Russia fully planned to take Kiev. They planned to do it in days. They demanded the immediate resignation of Zelensky and the full dissolution of his government.
Now, the Russian military has been humiliated. It's retreating out of several areas it formerly controlled. It's leaving piles of its own smashed equipment and men as it retreats. Ukraine has launched successful strikes inside Russia. And morons like this guy claim it's all part of their grand master plan.
I don't like Ukraine or Russia. But that doesn't stop me from absorbing reality. The reality is, Putin did what Putin does. He invaded a neighboring country in an attempt to regain the former glory of the Soviet Union and capture the economic bounty represented by Ukraine. This time he messed with the wrong weak country. He's not only getting his hand slapped. He's getting it amputated. And all the idiot lawyers writing unsupportable propaganda to the delusional few won't change that.

That’s not true

The rather large column has been parked out side Kiev for weeks

A city which mostly still functions

Luxury hotels open

Power and water and communications

That ain’t Blitzkrieg

The war is in the east....the Kiev presence is intimidation
